What is Private Label Rights Content?

Private label rights products are simply rights to use specific products with your brand name. Most of the time, you aren’t required to rebrand or repackage the content, but you can modify it as per your needs and use it for your business. It is a great way for content creators to quickly create more content quickly, without creating everything from scratch.

Sometimes you may see sellers of PLR products with additional rules such as not being able to sell on specific marketplaces like Amazon KDP or Etsy, without making any changes to the content. This is mostly due to the rules of the marketplace and not due to the nature of PLR products.

The best part about a Private Label Rights product is that you can repurpose the content in many ways and in multiple forms but you only pay for it once.

There are many different types of private label rights products and several ways in which you can use private label rights products for your business.

Let’s take a look at some of the most effective ways to do so:

Repurpose content for your blog

You can use private label rights content for your blog. PLR articles are the most common type of PLR products. This is a piece of content that one can easily rewrite. Simply repurpose it and host it on your blog. There are many ways you can do this.

You can start with a PLR article and then edit it with your tone of voice or  repurpose it into an infographic for one of your blog posts.

Using a PLR article as a springboard for your blog posts will help you streamline your workflow and fill up your content calendar quickly.

Repurpose content for newsletter

If you have been online for a while, it is likely that you have a list of subscribers who subscribe to your newsletters. Many beginner email marketers struggle to come up with useful content to email their list.

This is another way that private label rights content can come in handy. Depending on your niche, you can easily find PLR products that you can use in your emails. Unlike published content where you would need to rewrite the article, you can use PLR articles pretty much without changing anything in your emails.

Personally, I would suggest that you always edit for your tone of voice to create that connection with your audience. Throw in some relevant examples to strike that chord with your readers. Nothing beats a good story to quickly hook your audience.

Use the content as an upsell or upgrade

One of my favorite ways to use private label rights content is to offer it as an upsell or bonus. For example, if you have a blog post on “Blogging 101”, you can have a Blogging 101 infographic as a content upgrade. You can also have an upsell for a Blogging Planner. There are many ways you can sell digital products to add extra income streams. We always need more of these, right?

Repurpose the content, and create training or informational eBook

You can repurpose private label rights content and turn it into an eBook that provides a more in-depth overview of your topic or niche. Following on from our “Blogging 101” example,  you can use PLR content and create a “Advanced Blogging Methods to Become a 6 Figure Blogger”.

Use it as a lead magnet

Another way to use private label rights content is to create lead magnets for your marketing campaigns and sales funnels. Every business, regardless of niche, needs lead magnets.

These can be in any form and tends to be a downloadable freebie that your customer wants and solves a simple problem for them. In exchange for this lead magnet, they leave you with their contact details and you get them on your list.

The PLR article that you used for your blog post, can be turned into a checklist which then becomes your lead magnet. Advertise this on your social media and watch your list grows on auto-pilot.

Create a product bundle with PLR products

If you have used a lot of PLR content for your business, you can also create a product bundle with all these products. For example, create an Ultimate Bundle for Beginner Bloggers. This can include your Blogging 101 ebook, Blog Planner, Checklists and more. Resell the product bundle on your website or give it away as a bonus for signing up to your flagship program.

Create a video course based on the PLR product

If you are a coach or if you want to create courses, you can easily find PLR Courses that you can resell under your brand. Depending on the course provider, such private label rights content can come with different products such as powerpoint slides, scripts for the slides, training workbooks, planners, checklists and more.

Using private label rights products is a great way to scale your business at a low cost. You can use these products to get more value for your business while spending less on content and saving so much time.
